I work across hand carving, loom weaving, natural-dye finishing and small furniture objects. My studio starts with the material rather than a fixed shape: I listen to grain, tension, weight and texture, then build a form that lets those qualities remain visible. Every commission is developed through samples, physical tests and a final hand-finishing pass. The goal is not factory-perfect sameness; it is considered consistency with room for the maker's mark.
Objects with a human edge.
I make tactile objects where the evidence of the hand is part of the design: carved edges, woven rhythms, burnished surfaces and tiny irregularities that make every finished piece singular.
Made slowly.
Made to stay.
A craft practice built around material honesty, repeatable hand skills and objects that reward close looking.
The hands
behind the work.
Expertise is shown as a material vocabulary rather than a percentage score, because craft depth lives in technique, judgment and touch.
Wood Carving
Relief carving, edge softening, hand-planing and joinery for sculptural and functional pieces.
Loom Weaving
Small-format textile structures, natural fibres, tension control and rhythm-led surface studies.
Natural Dye
Botanical dye baths, layered tones and restrained finishing for cloth, paper and wood accents.
A few things
I've made.
Commissioned and self-initiated pieces where technique, utility and material character meet.
Furniture that keeps the hand visible.
A three-piece seating study in ash and woven linen, developed through hand-shaped edges and a circular joinery motif inspired by the halo mark used throughout the studio.
Monsoon Loom
Wall textile in undyed cotton and indigo-dipped yarn, commissioned for a private residence.
River Grain Bowls
Hand-carved serving set following the natural curve of reclaimed mango wood.
Marigold Study
Natural-dye sampler exploring layered saffron, bark and leaf tones on handwoven cloth.
From raw
material to ritual.
A tactile four-stage process keeps each project grounded in testing, making and thoughtful finishing.
Listen
Understand the brief, space, use case and the material qualities that should lead the piece.
Sample
Make small physical studies to test proportion, grain, weave, colour and construction before committing.
Make
Build slowly with hand tools and repeatable workshop methods, documenting useful discoveries along the way.
Finish
Sand, burnish, wash, oil or stitch by hand until the object feels resolved without losing its character.
Let's make
something tactile.
