After the Heat
Oil stick, acrylic and powdered pigment on linen · 140 × 190 cm
I build tactile paintings from layered pigment, scraped surfaces and quiet accidents, turning movement, memory and atmosphere into collected color.
Painterly work shaped by rhythm rather than rigid geometry: each surface carries evidence of the hand.
My work lives between observation and invention. I begin with loose washes, then build, scrape, soften and interrupt the surface until a visual rhythm emerges.
I work primarily in acrylic, oil stick and mineral pigment on linen. Recent series explore heat-hazed landscapes, half-recalled interiors and the emotional weight of saturated color.
The result is intentionally imperfect: edges remain visible, marks stay human, and every layer gives the next one something to push against.
A selection from recent bodies of work, shown as visual chapters rather than a conventional gallery.

Oil, graphite and pigment on linen · 70 × 90 cm
The process is deliberately physical. The painting changes through repetition, interruption and time.
A warm ground gives the first color something to echo against.
Loose washes establish movement before the composition knows its name.
Marks are removed as often as they are added, exposing useful tension.
The final layer is less about finishing and more about finding the right silence.
Tools and techniques are selected for how they behave on the surface, not for perfection.
